The Berlin wall is basically 160 kilometres of remains of the Berlin Wall, Some of the wall is being preserved. The largest gallery in the world is situated in the East side, this is where the longest remaining section is held.

Museum Island

This Island features some of the best museums in Berlin, some of them being the Pergamon Museum, Altes Museum, the Nationalgalerie and the Bodemuseum, definitely a treat if one loves visiting museums.

One of its main attractions is the nuclear bunker that was built during the Cold War in the 1970s.

Brandenburg Gate

This gate was embedded in the Berlin Wall and locked for the duration of communist rule, the Brandenburg Gate is impressive and symbolic and now renovated and accessible. The gate is Berlin's only remaining city gate, built of sandstone between 1788 and 1791. The gate now stands in the centre of Berlin and joins the two sides of the city.
